| Dr. Crane can be described as a very slight individual. He is not particularly physically imposing, is of average height, and would never be described as someone who would stand out in a crowd. His hair is deep brown and short and his freckled skin fair, which when matched with his glasses give him a bookish, no-nonsense guise of superiority. It's rare to see him in anything other than a suit. The only thing memorable about Crane are his eyes. They are a startling bright blue, and seemingly out of place on a face which is otherwise nondescript. If one is to meet Crane on the street, they wouldn't find him all that interesting. He speaks slowly, methodically and confidently, a natural smile flitting on his face. Sure of himself, he does not go out of his way to show off; rather, he prefers to remain out of the way and remain an observer of things going on. He is extremely passive-aggressive, preferring to snipe others through conversation rather than cause direct confrontation. The meek demeanor is a cover for a person who is very obviously mentally unstable. If watched carefully, there are obvious tells in conversation which allude to an underlying madness. If annoyed, his eyes widen slightly and become riveted on whatever happens to be angering him. His gestures become animated, almost painfully so. Emotion is barely tempered within his voice, and it varies in pitch. This becomes more apparent in his Scarecrow persona. He becomes disturbingly confident and almost vindictive, snarling at his antagonists with sarcastic wit and a gravelly, violent voice. Under the mask, he is able to properly express himself - and use his twisted emotions to terrify whoever has wronged him. |
